Founded only recently in 2000, Ivysport Clothing Company traces its roots all the way back to the establishment of Harvard in 1636. At that time, Harvard and its subsequent Ivy rivals paved a path of excellence in both academics and athletics. Ivysport grew out of the traditions of the Ivy League, itself an athletic conference formalized by the eight Ivy schools many years later in 1954. Known as the "Ancient Eight" of the Ivy League - Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton and Yale are more than America's finest colleges. They represent the passionate drive to succeed in learning, athletics, and the game of life.In partnership with the Council of Ivy Group Presidents, the governing body of the Ivy League, Princeton alumnus Eric Barnes established Ivysport to capture the rich tradition of the Ivy League in a line of current, classic and distinguished clothing. What started in Eric's garage back in 2000 has grown into the largest online retailer of Ivy League merchandise on the planet, encompassing 16,000 square feet of office and warehouse in sunny Fountain Valley, California.
