IXIM uses waste to create change!Imagine that your bricks, interior walls of any space, and insulation are made from corn stem, rice husk, or beans pod. If you already did it, we introduce you to "IXIM"; a company that develops sustainable building materials that are low cost and environmentally friendly. These products use mainly three types of raw materials - any of the fibers named above, a natural binder extracted from the aquaculture industry, and by-products obtained from the cement manufacturing process. Therefore, the core value of the project is to leverage these types of agro-industrial residues based on a circular economy model to develop innovative building materials.IXIM develops non-structural materials that are designed to create insulation solutions and interior partition materials systems. The two types of products available are for:- Interior partitions- Panel insulation wall systems The advantages of these biobased products are: - Take advantage of agro-industrial, aquaculture, and cement byproducts to create a unique, versatile, and innovative lightweight bio-based composite material- Reduce high manufacturing costs associated with insulation and non-load bearing materials for exterior and interior wall purposes. - Provide sustainable and local options in the local market to reduce the cost of transport and production.- Provide social, economic, and environmental benefits to local industries by working, leveraging, and adding value to their byproducts for being introduced in potential markets.- Reduce the cost extraction of virgin materials since IXIM compounds are basically composed of by-products and residues. - Foster new streams of production based on inclusive industrialization and circular economy models.
