Research - Lund, Skane County, Sweden
Is it possible for high school students to perform cutting-edge research? Every day at IYPT Sweden we prove that to be true. We are an organization dedicated to letting young, talented high school students become part of a research group that works with investigating yet unsolved problems within as diverse areas as granular mechanics, fluid dynamics, and magnetostatics. Every year we deal with 17 new research areas, working together in a team consisting of high school students, professional researchers, engineers and natural scientists, to push the boundary of the fantastic world of physics.Getting started is easy, anyone with interest in physics, technology or science can contact us, and we will provide a mentor that will take you on a journey to see the real depth of physics that is even beyond your wildest dreams. Together with students from all over the country, you will work toward the singular purpose of solving your problem and advancing our common understanding of the underlying mechanism that controls our world. A year of effort leads to the Swedish National Competition in which the best and brightest from all over will meet up and critically discuss each other's research, leading to that the top five students will be selected to represent the entire group at an international physics conference in which the investigation of the past year will be debated, exchanging ideas and interest across borders.
