GERNIKA LIVES, shot in 1987 is an exploration of the filmmaker's Basque heritage and the tragic events her father, as a young boy experienced during the bombing of Gernika and the Spanish Civil War. SOUVENIR VIEWS, shot in Barcelona and New York, premiering at The Tribeca Film Festival, 2003. The story of a young man's self-imposed rite of passage journey into manhood juxtaposed with the tragice events of 9/11. Also screened at the Festival International del Nuevo Cine Latino Americano in Cuba, Gerona, Spain, and aired nationally on the Independent Film Channel, as well as toured Universities such as Dartmouth and Wagner College. AMERICAN HERO, 15" short. An Iraqi Veteran returns from the war temporarily crashing at his sister, Jane's, New York apartment. Through their violent feuds his trauma and irreparable desolation becomes apparent. Through their struggle to survive and maintain dignity, they discover a closer bond of love and forgiveness. FACE TO FACE, a play with historical characters: Dolores Ibarruri, Bartolome de las Casas, Simon Bolivar, Eva Peron, and Antonio Machín speaking to God in an interview setting before and audience.
