The J. Laliotis Group is an independent, family controlled shipping company, founded in 1969 by Capt. John Laliotis when he ventured into the ownership of two small dry cargo vessels. In 2001 his son, Mr. Vassilis Laliotis, was appointed Head of the Group, succeeding his father in the role.With almost 50 years of experience owning and operating merchant vessels, the Group is one of the most highly respected and solid, medium sized shipping companies. The Group's business concept is to provide environmentally friendly and cost effective transportation to benefit both the Group and its clients. Its investment strategy is to continue exploring opportunities for new buildings and quality second hand tonnage in both wet and dry segments of the market. Maintenance and further improvement of its strong ties with major charterers, shipyards and institutions is a major objective.
