The Mission of JAPRI is to provide rehabilitation services to juvenile and adult minority male individuals who have been incarcerated and/or is likely to participate in activities that will lead them into jail or prison. Also, JAPRI will be focusing on the development of Good Fathers, Good Community Leaders, and providing resources to the community regarding legal, vocational, health, environmental and other available services for all people including those with disabilities, military veterans, and victims of domestic abuse.Goals: 1. To assist in the rehabilitation of minority juvenile and/or adult males who are at a relatively high risk of committing crimes or have already been incarcerated in jail or prison and have a high potential of returning to either facility.2. To provide support and mentoring for the development of Good Fathers, including those not present in the home, and Good Community Leaders by developing the following curricula for Participants to receive instruction from:a. Protecting Our Environmentb. Maintaining Our Healthc. JAPRI Educational Curriculum3. To provide training and mentoring to assist Participants of the program in obtaining employment and/or maintaining their jobs by instructing Participants from curricula listed above.4. To provide support for Participants seeking their GED and/or to further their education to the college level by developing an Educational Curriculum that instructs Participants. 5. To provide support for Participants who have been identified as a substance abuser.6. To provide a website with information that help with everyday life of Participants and other links associated with all aspects of potential discrimination and various types of abuse that all people may face. For example, there will be links to American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; there will be information associated with military veteran issues, the elderly (AARP), and there will be links associated with domestic violence.
