James Holroyd Consultancy is a not for profit community interest company that has the aim of helping other community focused organisations to make improvements. My aim is to make a positive difference to people's lives through helping public sector organisations, charities, community groups, community interest companies, and not for profit social enterprises.I work with communities and organisations that want to make a positive difference to the lives of the people they support. Providing this kind of support isn't easy. People often have multiple changing needs for which they require support, and providing this support often involves multiple different people from multiple different organisations and groups. I help communities and organisations to deal with this complexity by:- Helping them to collaborate with others to better meet people's needs through having shared purposes, shared language and a shared understanding.- Helping them to work in a way that means they can adapt to changes in their environment.- Helping them to make the best use of a wide range of evidence to understand people's needs, how well those needs are being met, and how to better support those people.- Helping them to think about the big picture so they can make as great a difference to people's lives as possible, and so they are prepared for future challenges.I do this through using systems thinking and practical ethics. I am experienced in using many different systems thinking approaches and I also use the analysis skills and knowledge of ethics I gained when I trained in philosophy.
