While in architecture school, Jan was exposed to different cultures, issues, and mentalities which helped him develop his style as a designer. He believes that an idea is just an idea until it is put on paper. This is the translation that interests Jan the most as he approaches his projects with charettes and concepts. He uses these tools to help with ideas and the development of his work in creative direction using photography as his media.
