I am a freelance photographer based in Portsmouth, UK. Before becoming a photographer, I worked as a primary school teacher and educational psychologist for 10 years in Calderdale, London and Portsmouth. In 2000 I trained as a photographer at the City of Westminster College in London. Since then, I have combined my professional skills with my love of photography to work primarily as a children's portrait photographer in my own studio, and as a playgroup and school photographer, producing portraits and marketing material, and carrying out photography projects with schools and in the community. My experiences working in mainstream and special schools, and as a mum of two young children enable me to create images that capture special moments of childhood and that reflect the positive and exciting work carried out in our schools.
