I am Janrace Prudent, a.k.a. JRP. My colorful world is overflowing with creativity. I am an artist. A yogi. A visionary. Yet, I am so much more. I love to create. As a mixed media artist, I have pushed myself to experiment with surfaces, materials and also the tools. The pleasure I derive from painting has led me to shoes, canvases and even brick walls. I am compelled to create art as a way of expressing my thoughts, emotions and dreams. The process of creating provides a conduit to an emotional release that I find to be very therapeutic. I hope to stimulate the viewer to stop and give pause. To elicit a new thought. To smile. I am constantly challenged to capture the true essence of the sweet melody of life and the world in which I live.My visual art is the perfect blend between contemporary and abstract. I use drip paint techniques, mixed media, textures and vivid colors. I enjoy working with enamels, acrylics, spray paint, glass, metal and other raw materials.
