The Japan Society of Kansei Engineering(JSKE) was established on October 9, 1998. On November 20 and 21th,1999, the 1st annual meeting was held at Bunka women's university. There are currently 1200 members in 2003.Members are researchers, students, persons engaged in Kansei related business and Enterprise members. They belong to various universities, institutes, companies such as University of Tokyo, Tsukuba University, Chiba University, Shinshu University, Osaka University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Keio university, Waseda University, Kogakuin University, Bunka women's college, Ritsumeikan University, Illinois University, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport , Japan Patent Office, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, AIST, KAIST, NTT, Sony, Honda, Hitachi, Matsushita Electric Works, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Matsushita Electric Industrial. Toray, Shiseido, Nissan Motor, Mazda, Takenaka Komuten, Shimizu Corp., Canon Inc., Seiko Epson etc.JSKE has 40 sectional meetings such as "KANSEI philosophy", "Fuudo(climate) technology", "apparel" "KANSEI business", "KANSEI goods", "KANSEI and new product development", "KANSEI design", "KANSEI interaction" etc.
