In its 12th year the Jared Coones Pumpkin Run is one of Olathe's largest annual races. With almost $300,000 raised for local charities, the race continues to grow with participation reaching over 3,200 last year alone. The tremendous growth of this event comes from the participation of elementary school running clubs that train specifically for the Pumpkin Run.Our mission is to honor the lives of Jared and Jayne Coones; to create an event that celebrates family and community; and to raise funds for research and organizations that support cancer patients and their families.
