Founded by Actus Partners, JASMEF was chosen by the Development Bank of Jamaica in partnership with the World Bank as the winning proposal in a global contest to select a fund manager for a SME private equity fund. The contest and this fund has been made possible by the World Bank-Jamaica Access to Finance for MSMEs Project.Focus on Caribbean SMEs: JASMEF is an SME Impact Private Equity fund investing growth capital into Caribbean SMEs that have committed promoters with high integrity, proven management and scalable business models. JASMEF's geographical focus is on Jamaica, other CARICOM full member independent countries (Antigua & Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, St. Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago), plus the Dominican Republic. Growth, Jobs & Impact: JASMEF provides Caribbean SMEs with access to growth capital combined with capacity-building and technical assistance in order to enable higher levels of business growth, productivity, job creation and exports.
