Founded and produced by the students of UCLA in 1986, the Jazz Reggae Festival is the largest student-run festival in the nation and has become an L.A. tradition, showcasing both emerging and legendary artists and featuring multiculural food and art. The festival also aims to produce a green-conscious event and to educate individuals on how to be conscious about the earth and sustainability.The rich legacy of the Jazz Reggae Festival reaches back thirty years, yet the festival continues to evolve and stay relevant each year. The festival showcases both emerging and legendary artists including Jill Scott, Stephen Marley, The Roots, Nas & Damian Marley, Lupe Fiasco, India.Arie, Q-Tip, Barrington Levy, Gary Clark Jr., and Erykah Badu.
