Our students, skilled in technical support, concurrently improve quality through system and workflow analysis and redesign. Utilizing the leading-edge technologies, such as the Cerner EHR Millennium platform, the program equips students to implement, support, train and integrate digital healthcare information systems to improve the quality, efficiency, and security of patient records. HCIS students work in simulated environments developed by Cerner; immerse in the most current instructional guidelines taught by skilled professionals and build their skills with HCIS industry internships. HCIS professionals specialize in the information technology to support clinical processes and data, including roles which analyze system workflows, test-configure-maintain systems, and train end-users for software use.
