JEAcoustics is a small business acoustical consultant engineering firm. Now in its 35th year of service to the A/E/C disciplines, JEA specializes in building acoustics, noise control, and vibration. Based in thriving Austin, Texas, JEA belongs to the National Council of Acoustical Consultants. Our acoustical, environmental, mechanical noise and vibration control projects include a wide variety of types and sizes, as well as sustainable design and LEED® projects. Founded in 1986 by Jack B. Evans, P.E., the corporation focuses on architectural and mechanical noise and vibration control, acoustics, and environmental noise. Staff is committed to personalized, one-on-one service between client and consultant. The firm works closely with facility managers, engineers, and architects to integrate acoustics and noise control recommendations into facility designs and to conduct field noise measurements and analyses for fundamental, cost effective, and practical solutions. We can provide services in the client's office, on-site, or from our offices in Austin.JEA provides solutions for acoustical needs that complement rather than compromise the architects' and engineers' design concepts. Architectural acoustics includes reverberation, echo, focus, and sound isolation. Vibration and mechanical noise control focuses on building HVAC and process equipment. Building vibration control includes evaluation and mitigation of structural vibration that can affect sensitive functions and instruments, including micro- and nano-imaging and analytic instruments. Industrial acoustics is the control of sound exposure in the work place. Environmental noise is the prediction, measurement, and mitigation of outdoor noise, including transportation, amplified music, and mechanical equipment.JEA also promotes professional development and continuing education by regularly presenting and participating in international conferences and seminars.
