Jefferson-Como Fire Protection District was established in 1960 and is a Colorado Title 32, Special District (local government). We are a combination department and have paid professional staff available for your needs 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Our personnel are on-call to meet your fire suppression or emergency medical needs, along with very well trained and dedicated volunteer firefighters. We have six additional stations that house various structural fire and wildland fire apparatus.Our District encompasses 525 square miles of beautiful private, state and federal lands that are enjoyed by our local residents as well as thousands of visitors every year. We strive to prevent structural and wildland fires and provide emergency medical basic level care.
