Religious Institutions - Thornton Township, Illinois, United States
We are a full service food pantry serving those in need. The Jehovah Jireh Food Pantry has undertaken the task of providing food for the segment of our society that we call "the working poor". These individuals are defined as those who work full time jobs, 40 - 60 hours per week, and still can't afford to feed their children after the other bills have been paid. We believe that God has called us to this ministry and we proudly stand in the gap for those who are less fortunate.Unlike other pantries in our area, we serve the entire South Suburban Cook County region of Chicago, Illinois. Our hours of operation are every Thursday from 11a.m. to 1 p.m., and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The 1st Thursday of every month, we have a Produce Mobile, which is a tractor trailer filled with fresh fruits and vegetables.
