Small changes can make a significant difference to your financial wellbeing, and that it is exciting and empowering, and once you have this important area under control it means you are free to do the things that really matter: focus on family, friends and life. I started my working life at Westpac, and moved onto a variety of roles including beauty therapy and sales, and studying for a BA in media. In 2008 I established my own business HUE (a hair colour only chain) with a grant from NZ Trade and Enterprise and big dreams. In 2011 HUE was named in the Deloittes Fast 50, and I was named Entrepreneur of the Year in the Kitomba Business Awards. Selling my shares in 2012 left me with time to refocus, do a bit of study, and complete the full circle back to finance. I offer my clients a fresh perspective on where they are at, a strategy to get where they would like to be (because a goal is not a strategy!) and insight into financial opportunities they may not realise they have. We discuss structure, borrowing entities, tax advantages and opportunities to grow wealth through property, whether it is the first home or the fourth! When I'm not working alongside people to help them achieve their best financial outcomes, I'm spending time with my daughter and enjoying the quiet life – loving my job, walking my dogs and spending quality time with family and friends.
