I'm Jenny, a designer originally from the UK, and happily based in beautiful Amsterdam for just over two years. I've lived in several cities across Europe, including London, Athens, Galway and Budapest, working in multiple creative fields. I currently freelance as a collage/graphic artist, as well as a brand identity designer, packaging designer, and social media content creator for independent, sustainable, ethically run small businesses. Having originally trained as an illustrator, but with an enduring fascination for visual culture, I started integrating collage into my work earlier this year. For me, my love of collage comes from my attraction to curation: the process of bringing together disparate elements to make a coherent whole... like a visual remix that pays homage to the original images, but also obscures their context. Something new and fresh emerges, and each piece has a spirit of its own; it's a process of discovery that strengthens visual self-expression. I love variety and diversity, in both source material, and in the people represented in my work; but most of all I'm a lover of natural forms, fine detail, colour and light. I aspire to bring playfulness and magic into my work; a sense of wonder.
