Jersey Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) Details
The Jersey Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) is prescribed as Jersey's FIU under the Proceeds of Crime (Financial Intelligence) (Jersey) Regulations 2015, as permitted by Article 41B(1) of the Proceeds of Crime (Jersey) Law 1999, as amended.The FIU serves as Jersey's central agency for the receipt, analysis, enhancement and dissemination financial intelligence relating to Money Laundering, and associated predicate offending, Terrorist Financing and Proliferation Financing. The FIU plays a pivotal role in Jersey's AML/CFT operational network and contributes to the work of other domestic and international competent authorities in this regard.The FIU is a member of the Egmont Group of FIUs and adheres to the Egmont Group Statement of Purpose and its Principles of Information Exchange between FIUs. The FIU functions in accordance with the FATF Recommendations and Standards.
