On the Emissions front, We are building a software platform to record and interlink consumption data from companies, individuals or IoT. The System of Record (SoR) will maintain the Consumption Identity (CI) of anindividual or an org/company by pushing certain transactions to the ledger. Consumption is the way people commute, eat, buy, shop, recycle/reuse, power their houses/devices/cars. It involves taking a bottom-up approach (community/P2P network) in contrast to the top-down approach (Carbon Tax or Cap & Trade). The idea is to execute and scale Elinor Ostrom's core design principles/framework which challenged the 'tragedy of the commons'. Elinor challenged conventional wisdom by demonstrating how local property can be successfully managed by local commons without any regulation by central authorities. Modern iterations of that idea could be Reddit, StackExchange, YouTube, Wikipedia etc.On the Energy front, We are developing systems to harness energy of winds blowing at high elevations(400-800m) where conventional wind turbines cannot reach. This kind of technology is usually referred to as Airborne Wind Energy (AWE) or High-Altitude Wind Energy. The idea is to harness the high-speed winds with a kite like aerial vehicle equipped with sensors. The UAV traces a certain pattern in sky while being tethered to the generator on the ground and transfers energy via tether tension. The capacity factor can be increased to 50-60% from existing 30-40% in current wind energy technology and costs can be decreased by 20-30%. NOTE: The Energy Project has been put on hold due to lack of funding.
