Jezuba means "thank you" in Burmese. We founded Jezuba as a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization to show appreciation for what we have by teaching the next generation the art of charity and creating goodwill with a positive social and economic impact. Our goal is simple. We buy crafts at a fair price from artisans in undeserved communities such as Myanmar, and we recruit young volunteers to help market and resell these goods in the United States via ecommerce. With our roots in Silicon Valley, our young volunteers will learn to utilize innovative tools and entrepreneurial thinking to market and resell these artisan goods acquired at fair prices. In the process, they'll learn to grow capital while making a measurable social and economic impact. Jezuba is more than an on-line store reselling beautiful artisans' goods. It's a vehicle for our young volunteers to learn important life skills and to provide a tactile opportunity for them to think and act without reservation. Our proceeds will go toward future investments, such as:1) Supporting young volunteers' pursuits of their extracurricular educational activities.2) Reinvesting back into impoverished, off-grid communities in Myanmar such as the Hlegu Center and Saytanar Mercy Village, for example, by providing solar lighting. Our goal for Jezuba is to inspire the next generation not only to become future leaders, but leaders with hope, empathy, and the drive to help strangers from a different part of the world. This act of giving transpires when we show our appreciation by simply saying "Thank You" – Jezuba! We hope you will support us by purchasing our unique gifts for your loved ones.
