Mental Health Care - Long Beach, California, United States
JFCS of Long Beach & West Orange County provides professional, affordable counseling and social services without regard for religion, race, socioeconomic status, immigration status, gender identity, or sexual orientation. We strive to be there for you, for your neighbors, when you need us. As the only nonprofit provider in Long Beach of both counseling and social services for all ages offering services on a sliding fee scale, we serve individuals, couples, families, and seniors who are struggling with anxiety, depression, loss, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Our Domestic Violence Education and Prevention Program offers a 14-week class, "Healthy Relationships, Healthy Kids" that is court-approved and helps women survivors understand the cycle of domestic violence and its effect on their children. We help older adults live more vibrant lives through socialization and helping them maintain their independence and dignity. Emergency financial assistance is available for those who need help paying a utility bill, getting a tire fixed, or other unbudgeted surprises that may occur. We offer a food pantry with shelf-stable items and an array of necessities such as toiletries, diapers, feminine products, and incontinence supplies.
