Jacques Hopenstand first opened the doors of his workshop in 1925 Paris, during a period referred to as the ‘Années Folles', so called because of the fertile social, artistic and cultural wave that appeared in the aftermath of the 1st World War. Early on, Jacques attracted a detail-oriented clientele looking to express themselves through unique creations, his only limitation being that of his client's imagination. Alligator handbags, python duffel bags and bull-calf belts are just a few of the bespoke pieces that began to make their appearances amongst the socialites of Paris. 90 years later, his great-grandsons have reopened the doors of Jacque's sought after Maison de maroquinerie offering two main product categories through an online store. Thanks to a tailor-made platform the customer may choose between a wide variety of leather, colours, stitchings, buckles and embossing.
