Seoul-born, Oklahoma-raised, New York-made, Paris and Milan-cultivated,JI WON CHOI is a cultural collage of the places she has lived in and is inspired by.Passionate about the different culturesaround the world, she celebrates their uniqueness while bringing them togetherto promote positive change.Every design is an exploration and celebrationof craft and heritage with a passion for highlighting world cultures and local influences--fueled by a contemporary creative edge,bold aesthetics, and an underlying commitment to sustainability through a ‘made-for-all' attitude.JI WON CHOI graduated from Parsons School of Design in 2017, and presented her thesis collection, EXCESSIVISM,gaining recognition from the CFDA and winning theKering Empowering Imagination Award,the YOOXYGEN Award by YOOX,and shortlisting on the Eyes on Talent Award and Parsons Creative Systems Award.The debut collection drew much attention from the fashion industry--being featured in US Vogue, British Vogue, Forbes, i-D, and Vogue Italia. Her work was also displayed by Bergdorf Goodman and at New York Textile Month, before being presented at London Fashion Week.Since starting her brand in 2017, she has shown on the official fashion week calendars in New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, and Milan Fashion Week. The two-time collaboration with adidas Originals have been sold out immediately after release and worn by celebrities.In 2019, she was awarded "Fashion Design of the Year" by the Design Museum in London for "significant contribution to culture".Her work is also a part of the permanent collection at the biggest design museum in the world, the Victoria & Albert museum.
