Jingtai International Group Limited is the project developer of a new one million square foot leather Contract Tannery/Leather Technology Park in Wiju, China, which is supported by investors from Hong Kong, The United States, and Italy. They have a long history of working on multi-national projects with companies such as Seiren and Kasen as well as the Chinese Leather Association. Because of their proven track record, they are one of five businesses that have been awarded a license to produce wet blue/wet white leather, and no future licenses will be granted. The new bonded leather warehouse is fully approved and will be completed by the third quarter of 2016. The objective is to add greater flexibility for importing and exporting leather products. Upon completion, the capacity will be 15,000 hides per day. Additionally, a local water treatment facility that can reach 300 C.O.D. level guarantees long-term development.The city of Wuji is 300 kilometers from the port of Tianjin. The completion of new high-speed trains from Beijing, Tianjin, and other nearby cities provides easy access to supporting services such as banking, insurance and legal. Wuji has a long history of leather production, which supports a robust, well-trained, educated workforce that can support production and quality for the long term. The Tannery will be filled with tanners producing leather in China. This is advantageous as it reduces their supply line and cost because they don't have to wait months for another company. This is not just a Tannery; it is a leather superstore which includes all supporting personnel, chemical sellers, and machine companies. There are over 800 tanners in the city; in effect, the new Tannery is a leather factory inside of a leather city.
