Public Relations & Communications - Derby, England, United Kingdom
JJPR was set up in 1996 by Sarah Jenkin-Jones. Sarah Jenkin-Jones started working life as a journalist, training and becoming fully qualified with the Newark Advertiser and then moving onto the Derby Evening Telegraph where she had a wide news brief. Sarah moved into public relations in 1988 – working for Harrison Cowley PR in Birmingham, a Saatchi & Saatchi owned company, where she worked on such clients as the Black Country Development Corporation and Typhoo. In 1990 she took a position as Senior Account Executive at McConnells (Midlands) Ltd in Derby and was subsequently promoted to Account Director. During her six years at the Agency, Sarah handled work for a wide range of clients in the construction, engineering, professional services, health and regeneration fields. Sarah established JJPR Ltd in 1996 to offer businesses and organisations ‘a complete service without agency prices' and has experience in a wide range of business to business and public sector areas including regeneration, skills and training, engineering and manufacturing, professional services, community sectors and more recently in the development and delivery of Business Improvement Districts. Sarah's journalism background enables her to quickly grasp the facts and ‘story' behind an organisation and communicate those messages in the most effective way. Sarah quickly becomes the ‘internal' communications lead for her clients – working strategically at board level and on a practical day to day basis adding value to team members and existing structures.
