JK Kayak is a mobile kayak touring company based on Long Island. All of our tour guides and teachers are certified through the American Canoe Association and Red Cross.We travel out of dozens of locations across Long Island. There is no experience necessary to enjoy a day with us out on the water. All of our tours include a quick lesson on paddling techniques.Kayaking is a low impact sport that combines a core & aerobic workout. Take a leisurely paddle or push a bit harder for some cardio. Either way, our professional staff will guide you on a journey through some of the most beautiful scenery on Long Island.JK Kayak is a "green company" in every way. Our boats use no fossil fuel, omit no pollutants and cause no noise pollution. Our goal is to always leave the waters we paddle in better condition when we leave than when we arrived. This is why you will always see the crew of JK Kayak removing unwanted items from the water and beaches and disposing of them on our return.Kayaking can be spiritual. It is sometimes compared to yoga in its sense of oneness with your body and your surroundings. Moving quietly along in a kayak is a unique experience because of your closeness to the water, the ease of paddling and the responsiveness of the kayak to your motions.
