It was established in March 2012 in response senior Kashmiri journalists view that there needed to be a news channel focused solely on representing the Kashmiri people. JK News operate under the Kashmir Media Group Private Limited.In the short time since its inception, JK News has had numerous achievements. They have aired interviews with top Pakistani officials, including Former President Parvaiz Musharraf as well as international leaders from various European nations.They have exclusively aired news of Azad Kashmir leadership which other national channels neglected to do and have used their platform to consistently raise awareness of the Kashmir issue as well as promote a positive global image of Pakistan and Pakistani culture.
