Agriculture - Pouillé, Centre, France
Our estate Joël Delaunay is located in the heart of the Loire Valley, near the Castle of Chenonceau, in the village of Pouillé (41). Five generations have succeeded to build the estate in its current state. Our family estate have 37 hectares in sustainable culture and 3 hectares, since 2010, in organic culture. We produce wine in Touraine and Touraine Chenonceaux appellations. The Sauvignon blanc is the main grape variety of our vineyard (2/3), but we also have some Gamay, Cabernet franc, Pineau Aunis and Malbec. Thierry Delaunay, Joël's son, was quickly interested in the vinification of the Sauvignon Blanc. This internationally known grape variety demands a high technical level and rigour to fully express its fresh and fruity flavor. That's why he has created the range Thierry Delaunay Signature in order to produce easy-drinking wine for challenging and modern consumers.
