Joey Lopez is a graphic designer, type designer, letterer, art director and super secret agent based in California. (don't ask, he'll have to kern you). He has a deep passion for custom typography and typeface design, as well as all things visual. He's developed creative solutions for Fortune 100 corporations and non-profit organizations and everything in between. Creating brand experiences, environmental graphics, publications, pixel-perfect web assets, custom typography, and typefaces. He's held internships with the Walt Disney Company and several non-profits, and professional positions in art direction, graphic design, prepress, information technology and IT technician management. Joey is the President emeritus of the Art Institute's AIGA Chapter, and a former board member of the Orange County chapter. Known for his lectures and training seminars on typeface design, publication design, and Adobe Creative Suite best practices. In addition to his creative talents, a background in IT makes him especially useful in workflow streamlining utilizing software development skills and creative innovation to automate process to keep costs low and minimize outsourcing. Joey enjoys Mystery Science Theater 3000 & Rifftrax, karaoke, learning new card and board games, going on road trips, dismantling things to see how they work, fetishizing typefaces, technology, science fiction and miniature things.
