The Johan Cruyff Academy offers elite athletes an opportunity to balance top sports with a four-year Bachelor of Science program in sports marketing, a learning track of Commercial Economics. The study program is offered to students who practice sports at the highest levels in The Netherlands and it is delivered in Dutch.There is a Johan Cruyff Academy in Amsterdam, Groningen and Tilburg. Each Johan Cruyff Academy is part of a Dutch university of applied science. The collaborating universities of applied sciences are: Hogeschool van Amsterdam (Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences), Hanzehogeschool Groningen (Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen) and Fontys Economische Hogeschool Tilburg (Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Tilburg). Furthermore, the Johan Cruyff Academy is part of an international Cruyff academic network, with headquarters at the Johan Cruyff Institute in Barcelona.The Johan Cruyff Academy prepares student-athletes to become leaders within the varied business sectors of sport. On completion of their studies, students are able to apply the theories of business economics in the world of sports from various perspectives, such as sponsorship, products & services, events, facilities, media and elite athletes.
