John Molson Investment Society (JMIS) Details
Bridging the gap between theory and practice, the John Molson Investment Society has been providing John Molson School of Business students with a platform to discuss current financial market topics, attend quality industry speakers presentations, and participate in engaging events. We held weekly meetings every Wednesdays discussing topics ranging from finance to economics to politics. Every semester, we hire four analysts where they have to publish weekly articles on any financial topic of their choosing. The articles have gained a wide exposure averaging well over 2,000 page views per article, you can view them on our website at jmis.ca. Furthermore, at the end of every month we have a capital markets speaker series where we brought people who worked in investment banking, private equity, equity research, and prop trading who worked from both the buy-side as well as the sell-side to speak to a wide audience of over 60 people per meeting.
