John Freeman Todd has been a professional photographer for over 25 years. After attending St. Lawrence University in upstate New York, he got his start working as a photojournalist for the Brooks Newspapers in CT. In 1990, he returned to his native town of Palo Alto to begin his own photography business. He has a wide range of expertise in many forms of photography including corporate, sports, fine art, and advertising promotion.An experienced photographer, John is the team photographer for Major League Soccer's San Jose Earthquakes since the team's inception in 1996. He also owns and operates International Sports Images, www.isiphotos.com, the official photography supplier to the U.S. Men and Women's soccer teams, NWSL, Stanford University, and the former Maverick's Big Wave Surfing contest.His work has appeared in Time Magazine, USA Today, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Sports Illustrated and ESPN the Magazine, and has been displayed at the Smithsonian Institution as part of a women-in-sports photography exhibit. In addition to his commercial and editorial work, John also teaches a yearly sports photography and Yosemite Landscape class in the Stanford Continuing Studies program at Stanford University.
