Medical Practice - Pamplona, Navarre, Spain
JOICE is a project created and launched by a group of medical students from the Faculty of Medicine at the Universidad de Navarra in cooperation with the Clínica Universidad de Navarra. It's based in 5 principles: 1. Living surgery: surgical interventions in streaming from the Clínica Universidad de Navarra's operation rooms. An fully detailed explained procedure. Ask and get an answer instantly. Is there any better way of learning? 2. Specialized and motivational lectures: highly laureated experts from the medical world, sharing their own experiences and motivating future generations. All in a close and relax format, making communication easier and more comfortable for everyone. During the first edition for example, we had the honor to count with Dr. Pedro Cavadas, Plastic surgeon and Dr. Diego González Rivas, Cardiothoracic surgeon. 3. Interactive workshops: an awesome and incredible amount of options that will help you get closer to the surgical world. Tutored by medical residents and fellows. For instance: microsurgical suture in ophtalmology, laparoscopy simulators, bleedings-control in the battlefield (tutored by members of the armed forces), emergency tracheo and cricotomy, dermathologic sutures, parturition simulation, and a long etc. 4. Scientific posters and oral presentation: a perfect chance for the students to gain experience and demonstrate their skills. Exhibit your research project about anything related to the surgical world. 5. Social plan: a chill and intimate atmosphere, something diferent. A place where you can share your questions, concerns and interests with other event attendees as well as medical residents and fellows from the various medical-surgical specialties. Live, feel and undergo surgery.
