JORDAN KLAPMAN is a solo pianist, accompanist, bandleader, popular music lecturer, music director, and producer equally at home in jazz festivals, nightclubs, concert halls, and theatres. He's appeared internationally and throughout Toronto at Roy Thomson Hall for numerous performances with Seniors' Jubilee, the largest talent showcase in North America, He's also appeared on CBC radio and television, and was a radio show co-host on "My Kinda Jazz" with the late Jeff Healey on JazzFM.LIVE CONCERTS Jordan provides popular dance bands for both corporate and private special events, and is music director of A Tribute to Ella and Louis, A Tribute to Roy Eldridge & Anita O'Day, Simply Brill: Great Songs of the ‘60s and The Forbidden Weimar Kabarett. He is also a founding member of the klezmer/swing ensemble, The Yiddish Swingtet, and music director for Tim Boyle, Sonya Cote, Warren James, and many other cabaret, jazz and popular music performers.POPULAR MUSIC LECTURERJordan currently presents several original interactive music lecture series throughout Canada and beyond, including Broadway's Greatest Composers, The History of Tin Pan Alley, Klezmer 101, Simply Brill: Great Songs of the '60s, The History of Jazz, The History of Jewish-American Swing, "Oy Tannenbaum: Great Jewish Christmas Songs", and many more.
