We established Josai University as a comprehensive university in April 1965, partly to meet the increasing demands of the people to go on to higher education, and partly to better the national society. This is because I thought that the development of human resources as a former university would not be sufficient with established universities alone. Needless to say, scholarship is not an end in itself, but a means of human formation. Since a good society can be created only by good people, I would like to entrust the education of human resources who can bear the burden of the national society as a vocation for this world and for posterity. He founded this university. To that end, the university campus was set up on a hill at the foot of Mt. Chichibu, avoiding the dust, and a vast area overlooking Mt. Fuji, the mountains of Kamige, and the clear stream of Goryeo was selected to create new facilities and equipment. In this perfect place for education, we welcome excellent researchers and highly knowledgeable educators as professors, and under the enthusiastic guidance that unites wisdom and harmony, we have high ideals and devote ourselves to truth and justice. With the aim of fostering useful human resources who are full of wisdom, human love and courage, and who have spiritual impetus and are required by the current society, we hope to create a distinctive academic culture and contribute to the development of the national society.
