Mixed media artist with gallery representation around the world.The city has a wealth of information to process: screeching subway cars, unexpected silences, sunlight hitting a hotdog cart or a brickwall or a beveled window, throngs of people in the crosswalks...the stimuli is at once overwhelming and inspiring. As a painter, I enjoy the challenge of observing these chaotic elements and deciding which details need to be amplified—or muted—in order to create an experience of our urbanity.
