Josh Power Photography is a specialized corporate event photography company, focusing solely on corporate events such as annual conferences, business meetings, and incentive trips. My background as a music teacher taught me communication skills and patience, both which are vital for a photographer. Being married to an event planner, and becoming a founding partner of Power Event Group, an event technology management company, has provided me valuable insight into events. All combined, I am able to approach an event as a photographer from a unique and successful perspective. Since 2010, Josh Power Photography has been entrusted to capture events and memories for clients all over the world, including Fortune 200 corporations, the Virginia Department of Education, the College of William & Mary, the American Red Cross, CVB's, public school systems, and countless private companies, associations, and animal rescue groups.While it is important for a photographer to be skilled at all the different nuances of photography, corporate photography is vastly different from weddings or parties, and each should be treated as specialty fields. If you are looking for an event photographer, keep in mind that they need to be extremely well rounded and equipped to handle all of the constant venue, activity, and lighting changes that quickly and continuously occur during an event. They also need to be able to effectively communicate with the planner, client, sponsors, speakers, VIPs, attendees, and staff, and any other stakeholder.My goal for each event is to have my images to tell a story that is accurate, emotional, and compelling for both the attendees and client.
