First published in the spring of 2014, the Journal of Medical Students, Galway (JMSG) gave medical students at the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) the opportunity to publish research they had conducted outside their regular studies. Now released annually, the journal continues to promote the exemplary work carried out by undergraduates. The JMSG is a student-led and staff-facilitated initiative which publishes original work by NUIG medical students with the aim of fostering an interest in medical research and innovation.
