JP YIMBY (Jamaica Plain - Yes In My Backyard) is a group of neighbors committed to saying "Yes!" to diverse and mixed-income housing in Jamaica Plain. Thanks to the dedicated work of neighbors who came before us, Jamaica Plain is defined by its passionate community roots, economic and racial diversity, vibrant local businesses, green spaces, and transportation connections. As a result, more people want to move here and be part of our neighborhood. For Jamaica Plain to remain a welcoming and diverse neighborhood, we need new housing so new residents can move in without displacing long-time residents. The best way to maintain what we love about our neighborhood is to allow it to grow and change.
