In 1981, Founder Albert Okura had a life changing experience and was inspired to open a rotisserie chicken restaurant. Albert knew deep down that chicken was his destiny. With the help of brother-in-law Armando and a lot of trial and error, the signature recipe for "The Best Tasting Chicken" was created. The goal was to create a recipe that enhanced the natural flavor of the chicken and to spark a memory in people's taste buds. Our recipe is the exact same as it was when it was created.By 1984, the first Juan Pollo restaurant opened in Ontario, California. Since then, we have perfected the art of cooking rotisserie chicken and have 25 locations and growing in San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, and Orange County.
