Jukasa Radio is licensed by the CRTC to operate an Indigenous community radio service to serve the Six Nations of the Grand River on FM 93.5. Jukasa Radio, is a non-profit organization composed of a membership base rooted in the Indigenous community. Jukasa Radio was founded by members of the Six Nations community with a vision to provide much needed high-quality radio programming to the younger generations of the Six Nations and New Credit communities, in an effort to foster the preservation and development of our language and culture. Our goal is to provide content-rich spoken word programming to cover the various issues faced by the communities. The musical selection of the station is a composition of Hip Hop, R&B and Top 40. The stations programming serves as an educational platform for our younger generations by showcasing customs and traditions of the Six Nations people and the Anishinabe people; facilitates the preservation of Native language through educational and musical features in various Six Nations and Ojibway languages. Jukasa Radio pursues a complete multimedia content exchange via an interactive website, mobile service, social media and with live presence to complement our over-the-air transmissions. The station is a vehicle for the airplay and promotion of Native language music and Indigenous English music. It provides enhancement to the artistic and musical expressions of the Six Nations and New Credit communities. Ultimately, Jukasa Radio offers a diversity of voices to the market through a healthy variety in editorial expressions, programming formats, spoken word content, eclectic musical genres and high quality production and presentation. In addition to these efforts, Jukasa Radio promotes initiatives that support capacity building and community development.
