Hospital/Clinic - Norwich, ENG, UK
We work with the strengths of people with mental health difficulties, to help them lead an independent life of their choice. We use our expertise and commitment to best practice to promote social inclusionWe are proud of the innovative and responsive services we have developed but equally important is the way they are delivered. Our staff are fully trained and their practice is guided by principles which are important to themselves and the people they work with. We need to be able to respond quickly to changes that affect the lives of the people we support and ensure that we regularly update our training and staff development programmes so we can meet these demands. We believe the people we work with have a right to fair access to what we provide and during their time working with us should be viewed as equal partners. Our clients know what is important to them and we support them to achieve their desired outcomes. Clients often move across services within Julian Support, for example, someone may move from our housing support pathway to our activities team; or from accommodation based support to our outreach service. We understand that our clients can sometimes feel anxious when our work together is coming to an end. We make sure that closure is seen as a positive step where goals and outcomes have been achieved and the person feels ready and able to move on.
