Juliet Miranda Rowe is a cross-disciplinary artist, designer, writer, performer based in Melbourne, Australia. Holding Bachelor Degrees in Fine Art as well as Animation and Interactive Media; she is formally trained in drawing, printmaking, graphic design and multiple methods of animation.Over the past decade her illustration, sculpture and installation has featured in events across Melbourne. Including prestigious cultural institutions such as West Space, Gertrude Contemporary, Bus Projects and Sutton Gallery. Notably hosting an Artist WorkShop Shop "An Exercise in Fan Art" at NGV international during their 2013-14 summer blockbuster Melbourne Now. Or her 2013 life-sized papier-mache car "Portia Mache" being shortlisted for the Incinerator Arts Complex Award, Art for Social Change. Her debut film HEAVY premiered at ACMI in 2018 and as an emerging Animator and Motion Designer, her credits already feature a diverse range of lens and screen-based media. Including; the ideation and production of a dual building projection map as part of WHITE NIGHT 2017, interning on the creation of stop motion VR experience PASSENGER and animating an extract of Melbourne poet Fury's, 2019 graphic memoir "I don't know how emotions work".With a focus on untold Feminist, LGBTQIA, POC & First Nations stories Juliet has carved out a niche for herself predominantly creating 2D animations and motion graphics for feature-length and serial documentary film. Alongside a visual practice, she has provided contralto vocals for a range of projects & genres. Most commonly working in collaboration with Melbourne artist & producer Martin King. She is currently developing her debut Audiovisual EP DEAD DATA. In 2019 she was selected to participate in Melbourne City Libraries, Graphic Novel Masterclass for emerging comic creators, facilitated by comic artist Nathan Onassis. She is developing her debut Graphic Novel BYTE.
