Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a non-profit international non-governmental organization founded in St Louis, Missouri in the USA in 1915, where it is headquartered. JCI has consultative status with the Council of Europe, with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and with UNESCO.Present in over 120 countries, JCI encourages young people to become responsible citizens and to participate in efforts towards social and economic development, and international co-operation, good-will and understanding.JCI Jordan is officially registered in Jordan under the Ministry of Social Development. It currently has 100 registered members serving within two local chapters; JCI Amman and JCI Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT).
