The Junior Doctors Association of South Africa (JUDASA) is a special interest group of the South African Medical Association (SAMA). JUDASA was formed in 1992 and is incorporated under section 21 of the Companies Act, 1973. Its' main objective is to address the needs and challenges faced by junior doctors in South Africa. Membership to JUDASA is voluntary and is offered to all junior public health sector doctors within South Africa. This includes clinical year medical students, doctors doing their two year internship programme, those completing their one year of community service and one year after community service.
