The Junior League of Greenville, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. The Junior League of Greenville initiates and participates in programs and partnerships that enhance the physical, emotional and educational well-being of children and families. We are committed to building a safe, healthy, nurturing community.The Nearly New Shop is the Junior League of Greenville's Upscale Resale Store. Its mission is three-fold:to provide funds that support the many programs and projects of the Junior League of Greenville, Inc.; to provide an outlet for the community to purchase fabulous clothing and household goods at nominal prices; and,to serve as a training ground for our members.The Junior League of Greenville, Inc. (JLG) has positively impacted the Greenville community since its inception in 1929. We have been an integral part in contributing to the beginnings of several agencies over the past 80+ years, including the Peace Center for the Performing Arts, Pendleton Place for Children and Families, The Children's Museum of the Upstate and the Warehouse Theatre.We are a group of over 1200 women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving our Greenville community. Our Provisional process starts in the spring with several social events for you to learn more about who we are and our League's impact in our community.
