Just 1 Tree was established on a sunny fall day in Oregon in 2013. Founder Owen Garitty had his customary coffee in hand as he walked down the tree lined streets of Eugene, Oregon. Looking down at the coffee in his hand the downtrodden edges of the cardboard coffee sleeve caught his attention. He started thinking about how many of these sleeves were thrown away each year. After doing some research it became clear that the need for a quality reusable coffee sleeve was there. The question then became how to make something that is not only reusable but something that is both fashionable and eye catching. From the backdrop of the Pacific Northwest the vision of Just 1 Tree began to form: the idea that for every sleeve sold a tree would be planted right here in communities across the United States. Our mission is to make each product as fashion forward and eco smart as the people we are lucky enough to call our customers.
